    What is the difference between Strong and Light?

    Strong turns every page into a compressed image, which gives the biggest saving, but text can no longer be selected or searched, and links and form fields are lost. Light keeps the text as it is, but usually saves only a little.

    Which method should I use for a scanned document?

    Strong usually works best. Scans are already pictures, so the file becomes much smaller. If your scan has a hidden searchable text layer, links or form fields, Strong removes them and slightly lowers image sharpness.

    Why was my file not made smaller?

    Some PDFs are already well compressed. If so we tell you instead of giving you a bigger file. Try the other method, or choose Smallest file quality with the Strong method.

    Is my PDF uploaded?

    No. Compression happens inside your browser.
